G-Unique + KUDOS = Island collaboration

St Helena has been known for its fusion of nationalities - we're the melting pot of the South Atlantic with cultural influences from around the world which can be seen in our ancestry, built heritage & local traditions. I always wondered what the funny symbol on my childhood wooden wardrobe stood for with its weird looking EIC initials…little I knew it was a throwback to the East India Company (a multi-national trading company) which once administered St Helena during the 17th Century.

So if this fusion is what we are known for, why should we stop embracing other cultures? Well, we’re not. G-Unique has jumped at the opportunity to team up with KUDOS, two sisters from Ireland who have immersed themselves in island life, but also share a passion for singing/ song-writing.

Their first song ‘pass another glass’ was released on 1st January 2018 which uses St Helena as the perfect backdrop. It’s a must-see if you love music & you love St Helena. It promotes our island in all its natural glory…you’ll even catch a glimpse of some of that built heritage I’m talking about. Watch it here.

KUDOS’ next song release ‘Empty Sea’ will happen on Thursday 1st February which will also mark the unveiling of our creative collaboration with KUDOS. The collaboration is actually going to be...uh uh uh uh...you'll just have to wait and see...
